Brooklyn is 9 months!

Height: 28.75 inches  (80%)

Weight: 19.5  lbs     (70%)

Milestones:

- She's spending a lot more time on her tummy rocking and practicing getting up on her knees so I think we may have a crawler very soon.

- She's starting to eat solid solids! She loves her puffs so I'll be starting to thicken her baby food soon and letting her try to chew more (boy if that isn't the scariest thing I've done- I swear I think she's choking at least twice a week) We also introduced her to the sippy cup. I didn't want her to use the traditional sippy cup so we got the Zo-li Bot cup with the silicone straw.  She loves it and I love it cause it doesn't leak and it has a weighted straw so no matter how she holds the cup the straw always is where the drink is.

- We have teeth! She got her first tooth about 3 weeks ago and her second about 2 days after her first. 

- She is starting to babble! "Mamama" and "Babababa" are her 2 babbling words of choice.  

Her current favorite things include playing "how big?" (see video below), waving at every ceiling fan (she's amazed that here there are ceiling fans everywhere), riding on daddy's shoulders, splashing in her pool, Bebe & Grandad's pool or the tub, and reading books with anyone who's willing to read to her.

She does it when she's happy, she does it when she's bored, she does it when she's mad, she does it to drive us nuts-o. I'll be glad when this phase is over and we can return to going to restaurants. Until then it's take out for us.
