Strange things are afoot at the circle K, people.
Am I the only one who's seen Bill & Ted's Excellent adventure?
It's quite possible. Anywho, on to the strange things going on with the Hare family.
Well I suppose it's not strange.
It turns out the second time is a charm for us!
Yep, not only will we be adding a puppy this summer, but we'll also be adding a human in January!
That's right, folks. We are expecting! We are in our 12th week right now had our 12 week appointment this morning.
I'm still ridiculously paranoid, but this one feels completely different than the last. After a miscarriage, even when the doctors give you the "it's not your fault" "it happens in one out of 5 pregnancies" song and dance, you can't help but wonder if there's something wrong with you. If maybe no matter what you do you just aren't going to be able to have a kid, and that's a very scary thought to think. I still think about how far along I would be if...
So far we are trucking along just fine, and I am blessed to have a husband that keeps me from ruining the joy of being preggo since his wife is a giant over-analytical worryier who now more than ever, spazzes out for every pain, twinge, cramp, dizzy spell the list goes on. He's keeping it light and fun.
I'm sure that this tiny worry in the back of my head will remain there until the kid is out and breathing, and I'm ok with that. While feeling quesy from 10am til 7pm every day sounds miserable to most folks (don't get me wrong it's not "fun") but I can honestly say I've never been more excited to feel sick in my entire life.
Here's an odd fact:
I opted for the blog announcement as opposed to the facebook post because for some weird reason I feel like my blog is more personal than facebook. I find it funny that this blog is open and available for the whole world to see and my FB page is private to friends only and I'm telling you that this is more personal. Ha ha!
Happy Monday!

ReplyDeletewarm happy wishes to both of you!! i can not wait to see pictures of puppy and nugget!!
Hey, Adrienne,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the baby! I had a miscarriage in between my daughter and my son so I absolutely know how you feel and the worry that comes with it. I could not rest until 12 weeks with Miles, and even then, I was a wreck the whole pregnancy thinking something might go wrong. It definitely makes you appreciate your little bundle of joy more when you know how very fragile it all is. I feel like it is definitely joy-sucking if you stay in the worry so hopefully you'll be able to fully enjoy this time.
Congrats again!
Carly (Atkinson) Webb
